Brief Description: Elevator and horizontal stabilizer installation
My brother and I started the day by fitting the elevators to the horizontal stabilizer. Then we drilled the control horns to the center bearing on the horizontal stabilizer followed by drilling the control horns to each other. Then we removed the elevators and drilled the horizontal stabilizer to the aft fuselage. With the horizontal stabilizer bolted on we reattached the elevator and installed and rigged the elevator control push tube between the elevator bellcrank and control horns. We checked the travel limits and freedom of movement and found some iteration will be needed. We concluded by trial fitting the vertical stabilizer.
